Leagues and Teams are forming now!

Rocky Mountain Roller Hockey offers leagues throughout the year for beginner to advanced players - 18 years and over.

Our games are played on an indoor, regulation-sized rink with electronic scoreboards and team locker rooms.

LEVELS OF PLAY

Players and teams are placed in divisions based on their skill levels and their desired competition:

  • COPPER – This level of play is a best fit for players who are either just learning the game or prefer a slower pace of play. Ideally, players in this level do have a modest skating skills, game experience, and knowledge of game rules. Copper divisions are well-suited for co-ed teams and/or teams with players of mixed skill levels.
  • BRONZE - Players at this level have more game experience and prefer a faster pace of play. The teams in Bronze divisions will have a balanced mix of players rated as upper Copper and lower Silver levels. Players in this division may have experience playing high school hockey and/or youth level hockey.
  • SILVER – While still considered recreational, players in our Silver divisions are more competitive and play with a more developed set of skills. Silver divisions will feature players who may have a valid game experience from college and other competitive programs.
  • GOLD - These are players and teams who may have competed at the pro and semi-pro levels. The Gold division is intended for players looking for the highest level of hockey play available in our market.

DIVISION PARITY

Rocky Mountain Rolley Hockey League will always be fair and determined with efforts to place players and teams in proper divisions. However, hockey is a team sport and collective play on the rink will reveal the truths of success. We guarantee our goal is to provide a fun and safe experience for all RMRHL participants. The best way we know how to do that is to focus on division parity rather than the player parity. That means it may not be unusual to see an "intermediate" player skating on a "beginner" team in order make that team competitive in its assigned division. We always have and will continue to monitor for signs of “stacked” teams. In any cases of consistent imbalance, we work with captains and teams to restore parity - either by reassigning a player(s) or a team to a higher division.

TEAM CAPTAIN

Thank you for accepting responsibility as the primary contact for your team - on and off the rink. RMRHL will always connect with captains about scheduling, personnel, conduct, and any important issues related to your hockey team.
